🔌 What It Is & How It Works

The VT2142‑VD is an integrated VoIP and router gateway designed for Vonage service. It combines:

*Up to 2 FXS phone ports for analog phones or fax machines

*Built-in Ethernet router and switch, offering 4 LAN ports and 1 WAN port

*PoE is not supported, it uses a 12 V DC power adapter

💡 Once powered and connected to broadband, it auto-provisions via Vonage servers, and is ready for calls.

Connections: Wired to modem or router WAN port → phone(s) in FXS ports → power cord

LED indicators:

*Power light cycles during boot, config, and registration → ends solid green when ready

*Ethernet & Internet LEDs indicate link speed (green=100 Mbps, yellow=10 Mbps)

*Phone LEDs:

*Solid green → registered line

*Blinking green → ringing or off-hook

*Blinking orange → new voicemail
